Are you passionate about animal welfare and keen to build on your existing skills creating high-value partnerships and delivering engaging events? Then this could be just the opportunity for you We are looking for an experienced charity fundraiser who enjoys working across a range of income generation channels to join our team at Margaret Green Animal Rescue.
We are an ambitious charity and have just celebrated 60 years of rescuing and rehoming animals in Dorset and Devon. Now our Trustees are setting the strategy for our next 60 years, and we are recruiting a Senior Fundraiser to help us turn our strategy into action. As part of our Marketing & Fundraising team, you will have a lead role in delivering income initiatives to meet the funding needs for our animal care activities going forward.
Within your role you will be masterminding and delivering our public engagement events, as well as developing relationships with corporate groups and others who can support our charity. This could include running corporate volunteering days, partnership fundraising events, making charity of the year pitches and writing compelling funding or grant applications. As our Senior Fundraiser, you will be responsible for achieving significant income targets and must be able to manage activity budgets, ROI and coordinate suppliers/stakeholders to deliver major events.
You will be joining a small, but creative team, built on the ideas, skills and energy that each of us brings to the table. Supporting each other and working closely with colleagues across the organisation is key to our success. You will have the chance to work collaboratively, develop ideas and explore opportunities whilst delivering our income targets.
We would love to hear from you if fundraising is what makes you tick, have more than 3 years' experience and have raised significant funds for your charities to date. You will have experience in some, or all, of these areas: delivering public events, managing and developing corporate partnerships, stewarding major donors and success in making grant funding bids. You will be confident in managing donor relationships, and able to represent the charity professionally and independently.
To be successful, it's vital that you enjoy working with people, and as a charity where animals are at the heart of everything we do, you must be passionate about our cause.
As part of our Marketing & Fundraising team, you will be based at our Church Knowle centre at least two days each week and will also travel around our sites and to external events from time to time.
