GI New Business Sales Director – Europe (Corporates)
Reporting to the GI Lead for Europe (Corporate) Sales, you will drive new business sales across Europe, selling both subscriptions and consulting deliverables. The role requires strong business‑development and consultative skills, with a focus on building relationships with senior executives and leveraging GI’s global research, data and analytics teams.
Responsibilities
* Meet or exceed monthly new business goals and generate new customer leads through cold calling and coordinated campaign outreach.
* Use a solution‑based sales methodology to align the GI portfolio with prospect needs.
* Provide timely and accurate insight to the pipeline, enabling accurate forecasting.
* Represent and promote the company and business line to senior executives both internally and externally.
* Develop a deep understanding of the GI portfolio’s value proposition across multiple end markets.
What We’re Looking For
* 7–10 years of sales experience, preferably in information services (research, data, consulting).
* Bachelor’s degree minimum.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to tailor communications to procurement and sourcing needs.
* Experience in business development for complex consulting solutions.
* Excellent interpersonal skills to build effective internal and external relationships.
* Preference for experience working with large, multi‑national companies with complex supply chains.
* Desirable but not essential: ability to speak additional European languages.
* Willingness to travel up to 25% for face‑to‑face meetings or industry conferences.
