Role Title: Electrical Engineer
Location: Pangbourne
Role Purpose: Static Electrical Service engineer responsible for completing daily, weekly, monthly, and annual service, PPMs, and reactive works.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Operate all building systems competently, effectively, and efficiently.
2. Complete PPM and reactive tasks and update the electronic workflow system.
3. Ensure daily checks are completed; report defects via the FM helpdesk.
4. Identify materials needed and ensure timely ordering and installation.
5. Comply with statutory and company health, safety, and environmental regulations.
6. Record statutory inspections accurately in logbooks.
7. Review and sign off on Specialist Service Provider worksheets; inspect work quality and escalate recommendations.
8. Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the site, plant areas, workshops, stores, and rest areas.
9. Provide emergency response standby as part of a rota.
10. Escalate urgent issues to the Technical Services Manager; respond to work interruptions and emergencies per SLA.
11. Liaise with client representatives regarding maintenance and repair tasks.
The Engineer will troubleshoot and work on various building systems, including:
* Three-phase and single-phase systems
* Building Management Systems and electrical monitoring
* HVAC systems, air handling, air conditioning, and chillers
* Pumps, motors, and variable speed drives
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
* Electrical engineering apprenticeship or similar qualification
* BS 7671 18th edition
* C&G 2391 or equivalent
* PPM experience
* Excellent communication skills
* Proactive approach and high operational standards
* Good IT and report writing skills
* Ability to work under pressure and deliver within time constraints
* Experience with UPS and standby power systems
* LOTO experience
* HVAC experience (preferred)
* BMS and CAFM (Corrigo) knowledge (bonus)
