This is an outstanding opportunity for a Controls & Electrical Design Engineer to join a high-growth, high-tech engineering team. Youll play a key role in delivering advanced automation systems across a broad range of industries, working on everything from compact retrofit solutions to fully integrated bespoke machinery.
The position offers end-to-end responsibility from control panel design and PLC/HMI development to commissioning and supporting global installations. You'll be based at a state-of-the-art R&D and manufacturing facility near Oxford, with occasional international travel.
Key Requirements for Controls & Electrical Design Engineer: 3+ years experience in PLC/HMI programming (Allen Bradley and/or Siemens)
Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical and control panel design
Understanding of industrial communication protocols (Profinet, EtherNet/IP, OPC, etc.)
Strong knowledge of control gear, safety systems, and EU electrical standards
Ability to produce schematics, terminal layouts, and wiring diagrams
Willingness to support site installations and commissioning (UK and overseas)
Background in machine control systems or special purpose machinery
Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills
Benefits Package for Controls & Electrical Design Engineer: Competitive salary: £50,000 to £60,000 (DOE)
