We’re looking for a confident and proactive Receptionist to be the welcoming face and voice of Sort Group in our South Shields office. This is more than just a front desk role – it’s an opportunity to join a professional and ambitious business where your people skills, organisation and communication will help shape first impressions and keep things running smoothly. You'll be handling inbound calls across all parts of the Group, greeting clients and visitors, and supporting teams with onboarding, compliance and day-to-day administrative duties. Requirements What you’ll be doing: Acting as first point of contact for all incoming calls and visitors Managing the office switchboard and ensuring calls are directed quickly and efficiently Meeting and greeting visitors, clients, contractors and other stakeholders Supporting new business processes, including onboarding and AML/KYC admin Liaising with internal teams and external partners Providing general administrative support as needed Helping the business maintain an exceptional front-of-house experience What we’re looking for: Someone confident on the phone and in person – you’ll be the first impression for many clients Excellent written and verbal communication A can-do, proactive attitude – you’re happy to take initiative and solve problems Strong attention to detail and great organisational skills GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths Good IT skills, especially with Microsoft Office and Outlook Previous experience in a professional office or client-facing environment preferred Benefits Where you’ll be: You’ll be based in South Shields at our Waverley Business Park office, working alongside friendly and supportive colleagues across legal, financial and property services.
