Job Summary
As a Senior residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing assistance and care to children and young individuals, ensuring their well-being and development. Your responsibilities will include implementing care plans, promoting independence, and fostering a supportive environment. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with families and other professionals.
Duties
* Provide direct support to children, assisting with daily activities and personal careas needed.
* Implement individual care plans tailored to each child's needs, ensuring their safety and comfort.
* Foster positive relationships with children to encourage their emotional and social development.
* Communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to care.
* Maintain accurate records of progress and any incidents, reporting them as necessary.
* Assist with transportation needs, including driving children to appointments or activities when required.
* Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.
Experience
* Previous experience working with children in a residential care environment is essential.
* QCF Health & Social Care level 3 qualified.
* A valid driving license is preferred to facilitate transportation duties.
* Familiarity with creating or following care plans is advantageous.
* Strong communication skills are crucial for interacting with children and collaborating with families and team members.
