The Role: The AI & Digital Automation Architect will lead the design, development and implementation of AI-enabled automation and integrated digital workflows across the organisation. This role will establish internal capability in automation technologies, artificial intelligence and systems integration, enabling improved productivity, reduced manual intervention and scalable service delivery across UK and international healthcare markets. Working closely with technology, operations and commercial teams, the role will design robust automation architecture that connects core business systems, ensuring efficient data flows, enhanced operational visibility and the delivery of scalable digital services. The position is a key component of the organisation’s Digital Transformation Programme, driving innovation, operational efficiency and sustainable growth. Key Responsibilities Automation Architecture & Platform Design Design and implement end-to-end automation architecture across core operational systems Develop automation frameworks to streamline operational workflows Build automated integrations between key platforms Design scalable automation pipelines to minimise manual processes AI Workflow Development Develop and deploy AI-enabled workflows to enhance operational efficiency Implement solutions such as: AI-assisted document processing and data extraction Intelligent workflow triggers and task automation Automated analysis and summarisation of operational data Systems Integration Lead integration of core digital systems across the organisation, including: CRM platforms Recruitment and workforce management systems Compliance platforms Financial and reporting systems Ensure secure, reliable and scalable data exchange using APIs and automation tools Digital Transformation Delivery Support delivery of the organisation’s digital transformation strategy Analyse existing workflows to identify automation opportunities Redesign processes using automation-first principles Implement digital solutions that enhance efficiency and scalability Productivity & Efficiency Improvement Deliver automation initiatives that drive measurable operational improvements, including: Increased recruiter productivity Reduced administrative and processing time Improved reporting accuracy and operational visibility Scalable service delivery across expanding markets Capability Development & Knowledge Transfer Build internal capability in AI and automation technologies Document architecture, workflows and best practices Support adoption of automation tools across operational teams Contribute to the organisation’s wider innovation agenda Key Skills & Experience Essential Proven experience designing and implementing automation or digital platforms Strong understanding of system architecture and platform integration Experience integrating systems via APIs or automation tools Ability to translate operational challenges into technical solutions Strong analytical and problem-solving capability Experience with AI tools and large language models Workflow automation platforms Development environments or scripting languages Desirable Experience with: CRM systems Integration platforms Experience building or customising operational systems What We Offer: 32 days Annual leave (including 10 days bank holidays).
