Project Sales Manager
Site & Office Based
Location: Bermondsey
Salary: £55,000 plus car allowance
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Sales Manager to join a growing sales team. This role focuses on identifying and developing upgrade and refurbishment opportunities within an existing customer base.
You will be responsible for surveying customer sites, identifying system upgrade requirements, producing compliant design proposals, and managing projects from quotation through to completion.
The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge of fire alarm system design, British Standards (particularly BS 5839), and sound project management skills, alongside a proven ability to achieve sales targets and build long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct detailed site surveys to assess existing fire systems and identify upgrade or compliance opportunities.
* Prepare and present compliant designs, quotations, and sales proposals in line with BS 5839 and relevant regulations.
* Work closely with sales, project, and technical teams to deliver accurate and commercially competitive proposals.
* Manage projects from order placement through to completion, ensuring compliance, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
* Collaborate with maintenance and service teams to identify and convert upgrade opportunities from existing contracts.
* Maintain accurate records of site visits, quotations, and sales activity using the CRM system.
* Achieve or exceed monthly KPIs, including:
* Sales revenue targets (monthly/quarterly)
* Number of quotations issued
* Number of customer and site visits
* Build strong working relationships with customers, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
* Keep up to date with fire industry regulations, standards, and emerging technologies.
Key Requirements
* Proven experience in fire systems sales, project management, or design engineering.
* Strong technical understanding of fire detection and alarm systems, particularly in upgrade or maintenance environments.
* Working knowledge of BS 5839, BS 5266, and relevant fire safety legislation.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a target-driven environment.
* Full UK driving licence (car allowance or company vehicle provided).
