Position Overview
An 'Outstanding' and supportive Secondary School in the Borough of Tower Hamlets is seeking a Humanities Teacher for a September 2025 start. This is a full-time and permanent position.
About the School
The Humanities Department, led by an experienced Head of Department, has grown significantly and includes a diverse team of young, experienced, and Teach First Teachers, along with graduate Teaching Assistants. The school has achieved excellent Progress 8 results and fosters a creative learning environment.
Role and Responsibilities
* Teach Humanities across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
* Inspire and motivate students.
* Collaborate with a team of dedicated Humanities Teachers.
* Opportunities for TLR roles such as KS3 & KS4 Coordinator and Pastoral Responsibilities.
* For ECTs: participate in bespoke induction, mentorship, and training programs.
* Position start: September 2025.
* Salary: MPS1-UPS3 + TLR (depending on experience).
* Location: Tower Hamlets.
Candidate Requirements
* UK QTS or in the process of obtaining it.
* Strong academic background (Degree, A Levels, GCSEs).
* Meet the 8 Teaching Standards at a 'Good' or 'Outstanding' level.
* Ability to work effectively within a large team.
* Willingness to receive and act on feedback.
