Job Purpose
This role supports oral solid dose and respiratory products. Reporting to the Product Technical Execution Lead, you will provide scientific understanding of product performance and help resolve technical issues across Global Supply and New Product Introduction. You will also support the implementation of changes and drive continuous product improvements.
You will work closely with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders, including Product Owners, Platform Leads, and Technologists, and contribute to Product Lifecycle Management by overseeing the ongoing performance of assigned products.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver Product Lifecycle Management by overseeing product performance across the full lifecycle, including conducting risk assessments, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and translating Control Strategies into standard work within the GSK Production System (GPS).
* Monitor Global Supply product performance using approved digital platforms, identifying trends, issues, and optimisation opportunities, and escalating concerns where required.
* Manage/support technical activities such as New Product Introduction (NPI) trials, continuous improvement projects, and Root Cause Analyses (RCAs).
* Provide expert product troubleshooting, manage technical investigations, and ensure timely completion of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
* Manage cleaning development activities and deliver technical expertise for generating initial cleaning documentation.
* Support internal and external audits/inspections and maintain compliance with all relevant GSK, regulatory, and quality system requirements.
About You
This role would suit a self‑motivated person who has experience of working in a cross‑functional, oral solid dose and/or respiratory manufacturing environment. You will be resilient and calm under pressure, with good people skills and a proven ability to influence people to achieve and drive performance. You will have a strong continuous improvement mindset. Ideally you will have experience/knowledge of product development and transfer and a track record in driving change. About Ware Manufacturing Site
Medicines at Ware are presented as either Respiratory devices or in Oral Solid Dose form, and the site has circa 1,500 highly motivated and capable people working at it. The Ware site holds a unique position in our network as the only site responsible for launching the company’s pipeline of new medicines in oral and solid dose forms, as well as operating a high‑volume commercial production for respiratory devices.
Basic Qualifications
* Relevant experience of working in a highly regulated technical industry (ideally the pharmaceutical industry) with relevant qualifications in Scientific, Technical, or Engineering discipline.
* Track record in driving change.
Preferred Qualifications
* Operational knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes.
* Experience working in a cGMP aligned pharmaceutical environment.
* Data analysis skills.
