About the Opportunity
At Driscoll’s, we are passionate about delivering high-quality fresh berries to customers around the world. To support our continued growth across EMEA, we are looking for a Senior Accounts Payable Assistant to join our Finance team in Maidstone.
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and grower settlements across multiple international entities. You will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and growers, contributing to efficient and reliable financial operations.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Accounts Payable Assistant, you will take ownership of accounts payable processes across EMEA, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
1. Manage vendor accounts and maintain accurate financial records
2. Process and review supplier invoices, ensuring correct coding and authorisation
3. Execute payment runs across multiple EMEA entities and currencies
4. Upload and manage payments in banking systems
5. Ensure timely payment of supplier invoices and grower settlements
6. Perform monthly supplier statement reconciliations
7. Investigate and resolve discrepancies, missing invoices, and returned payments
8. Respond to queries from suppliers, growers, and internal stakeholders
9. Collaborate with the Controlling team to ensure compliance with internal policies
10. Support the wider EMEA Accounts Payable team and other departments where required
11. Contribute to continuous improvement of AP processes

What you bring

Qualifications & Experience
12. AAT qualified (or equivalent)
13. Experience in a similar Accounts Payable or finance role
14. Experience working with ERP systems (Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics is a plus)
15. Experience in fresh produce or a fast-paced international environment is advantageous

16. Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
17. Advanced Excel and strong Microsoft Office skills
18. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across functions and countries
19. Fluent English (written and spoken)
20. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
