Manufacturing Technician - Late shift - 12 month FTC
Job Introduction: The role is a Fixed Term Contract of 12 months. Monday - Thursday 2.00pm - 10.30pm and every other Friday 12.00pm - 8.30pm (36 hour week) – £31,087.16 salary (£13.81 hourly equivalent). Yes, we work a 9 day fortnight!

The Role
So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:
* Manufacture product to high standard ensuring the quality of those products is in accordance with the set GMP standards and Standard Operating Procedures.
* Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
* Attend and comply with any planned in house training or on the job training.
* Capable and willing to train others in the team.
* To ensure the efficient and safe use of plant and equipment.
* To keep strictly to manufacturing methods as laid down in the documentation and raise any issues or errors with the Manufacturing Supervisors or Manager.
* To ensure all equipment is clean and maintained in good working order and where deficiencies are found, escalating to a supervisor.
* Maintain the highest standards of housekeeping, cleanliness and personal hygiene within the department.
* To notify the Manufacturing Manager, Supervisor or Senior Manufacturing Technicians, as a matter of urgency, if there has been any serious failure of safety or GMP which could affect staff safety or product quality or operational efficiency.
* To identify any issues and attempt to resolve these and escalating if it cannot be resolved.
* To support Operational Excellence incentives to drive and improve efficiency.
You
A self‑motivated enthusiastic individual who can work well within a team environment performing manufacturing activities including the operation and cleaning of equipment, whilst being able to complete associated documentation accurately and in a timely manner, in line with strict procedures. A person with a positive attitude who can constructively challenge others as well as give and receive feedback in a respectful and professional manner whilst demonstrating the Dechra values.
Essential
* Good knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety compliance.
* Ability to communicate effectively with both peers and senior members of staff.
* Ability to work in manual role with good dexterity.
* A positive attitude.
* Local to our Skipton site.
Desirable
* Experience of low to medium volume manufacturing/packaging, manual/semi‑automated manufacturing processes.
* Proven industry experience from a highly regulated GMP manufacturing/packing facility, either from the Pharmaceutical or similarly regulated industry/environment.
* A working knowledge and practical experience of pharmaceutical manufacture, continuous improvement activities and ability to manage time and workload effectively.
