We are seeking a Head of Asset Strategy, who will lead in developing the Councils approach to investment in its housing stock.
You will be a strong team leader, who will play a critical role in the development, management and monitoring of the Housing Asset Management and Sustainability Strategies. You will have accountability for the Councils asset data, preparing investment modelling and business / financial planning relative to the Council’s strategic investment in its housing stock. Ensuring that statutory responsibilities and works to ensure the safety of Council residents in their homes is undertaken, recorded and managed and engaging with stakeholders to ensure our asset processes are effective and compliant.
To succeed in this role, you will be an experienced housing asset manager able to manage and motivate colleagues and your ability to communicate with key stakeholders will be crucial. You will have an excellent understanding of social housing asset management and the need to maintain this in the interests of residents and the Council as landlord. You will work closely and professionally with both internal and external organisations and possess an excellent understanding of the interface between the major works team, housing management, day to day repairs and leaseholder services teams.

Essential:
⦁ A relevant minimum professional qualification e.g. Degree HNC or HND in Building, Surveying, or equivalent through training and experience
⦁ The post holder must have excellent IT skills and experience of working with Asset Management databases, using predictive modelling and budgetary controls
⦁ The post holder must also have the required skill to manage a multi-disciplinary team as required
⦁ Experience of delivering successful outcomes from procurement and contract administration processes.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
⦁ Record of successful Team Leadership in a developing organisation with high aspirations.
Experience of contributing to service development knowledge*:
⦁ Up to date knowledge and understanding of sector performance and benchmarking, Budgetary controls and IT systems
⦁ Clear understanding of performance management and data analysis
Qualification(s)*:
⦁ A relevant minimum professional qualification or equivalent through training and experience
Other Special Requirements*:
⦁ The post holder will be required to attend evening, and occasional weekend meetings and events
⦁ Current UK Driving Licence
