Overview

What do my tasks look like

* Assist with the day to day running of the department.
* Help prepare for meetings by pulling together best and worst, preparing samples.
* Manage the sample library.
* Assist with any trade actions.
* Take minutes in meetings and document all follow up.
* Manage the critical path alongside the buyer.
* Assist in setting up new suppliers.
* Visit suppliers along with the buyer.
* Visit stores and create store reports to feedback to the team.
* Work with the wider Buying and Merchandising team to action department objectives.
* Create new product set ups to pass to the data team.
* Help to maintain data accuracy and work with the wider teams.
* Chase suppliers for images and content.
* Benchmark key competitors.
* Monitor web lines to make sure that they have the best images and appear on the website in a timely manner.
* Assist in planning of marketing meetings.
* Produce trend and competitor analysis reports.
* Deputise for the buyer where necessary.
* Work with systems to update and follow up on orders.


What attributes do I need

* Retail experience preferred but not necessary
* Knowledge of Microsoft Suite – Excel, PowerPoint
* Good organisational skills and basic numeracy skills
* A desire to learn about products
* Proactive and forward thinking


Hours and working days

This is a hybrid role working 3 days in the office and 2 from home, 8.30am to 4.30pm, with no weekend work.
