Practice Nurse - B5/B6/B7 DOE (30hours a week)

If so, we are looking for a part time (30 hours) Practice Nurse who is able to do chronic disease reviews.
This is a varied and interesting role and you'll be joining a friendly, supportive and hardworking team who prides themselves on providing an excellent customer service to our patients.
We would love to find someone who is great with people, has excellent communication skills, a cheerful disposition, and a friendly, caring personality. Good IT skills are a must.
Main duties of the job
To provide care for long term conditions such as Asthma, COPD, Diabetes or Hypertension. It is expected that the successful applicant will be responsible for at least one area of long-term condition care.
To offer general practice nurse duties including wound management, cervical cytology, ECGs, dopplers, childhood immunisations, travel vaccinations and immunisation clinics to protect patients against influenza, pneumonia, shingles, covid etc

Job responsibilities
JOB TITLE: Practice Nurse - Chronic Disease
REPORTS TO: NurseManager
DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES
Management of chronic diseases, taking the lead in at least one area ofchronic disease management, to encourage patients to achieve a good quality oflife and to meet QoF requirements.
BASIC NURSINGPROCEDURES
Dressingand wound management. Scalds andburns management. Leg ulcer care and management.
Suture and clip removal.
Venepuncture.
Testingpathology samples e.g. blood, urine.
Undertakecytology screening.
Earsyringing, blood pressure and weight management.
Specimencollection e.g. msu, pregnancy tests, faeces for O&S, sputum, etc.
Puttinglabels on samples, form filling and ensuring timely preparation ofspecimens for collection to laboratory.
Generalobservations e.g. BP, pulse and temperature.
Use andcare of ECG machine
Use andcare of the doppler machine
Use andcare of nebulisers.
Ensure themaintenance of stock levels in the Treatment Room relating to patient careincluding medications, vaccinations and dressings.
