The Role:
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and scaling the organisation's data infrastructure. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and storage solutions, leveraging cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and implement robust, scalable data solutions to support analytics and reporting functions.
* Build and maintain efficient ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines.
* Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver data-driven insights.
* Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards.
* Mentor junior team members and contribute to architectural decisions.
Essential Criteria:
* Proven experience in a similar Data Engineering role.
* Strong expertise in either AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
* Proficiency in Python, SQL, and modern data engineering tools (e.g., Spark, Databricks, Snowflake).
* Experience with data warehousing, data lakes, and real-time streaming solutions.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
