About the Role: As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in a small yet dedicated team, focusing on both reactive and proactive maintenance of factory machinery and infrastructure. Your efforts will be essential for minimizing downtime and ensuring a smooth production process at their Deeside facility. You will work in accordance with recognized codes and best practices, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of the operations. Key Responsibilities: Conduct preventative and planned maintenance tasks to keep machinery running smoothly. Diagnose faults and respond effectively to equipment breakdowns. Work with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Perform routine electrical inspections and repairs, leveraging both mechanical and electrical expertise. Collaborate with teammates to install and commission new equipment. Support supplier partner selection processes to enhance operational efficiency. Promote and adhere to safe working practices in all activities. Utilize HAZOP evaluation techniques to inspect critical equipment. Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to bolster performance. Qualifications: Good GCSE passes in Maths and English. Completed Engineering Apprenticeship, NVQ3, or HNC Diploma. Familiarity with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and Compex Cert Ex01-06. Trained in Portable Appliance Testing. Previous mechanical/electrical experience, ideally in environments handling hazardous or flammable chemicals.
