Test & Inspection Engineer
Salary: £40k Basic + Bonus (OTE £45/55k) + Fully Expensed Company Van + Benefits

Electrical Services part of PTSG provides specialist electrical testing services to occupied premises, including schools, hospitals, offices, retail, and industrial units. Our role is to ensure all fixed wiring, switchgear, and control equipment meet regulations and are safe to use.

The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Tester to join our team. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical systems, adherence to safety regulations, and the ability to identify and report on potential hazards and compliance issues.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in commercial and industrial environments
* Inspect and test electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, switchgear, and control equipment
* Identify and document defects, non-compliances, and potential safety hazards
* Provide clear reports with recommendations for remedial actions
* Ensure inspections comply with standards such as BS 7671 and IET Wiring Regulations
* Maintain knowledge of industry standards and legislation
* Communicate findings effectively with clients
* Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and equipment
* Follow company policies and safety protocols
* Participate in ongoing training and development
Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years' experience in electrical inspection or related field
* City & Guilds 2391-52 (or equivalent) in Inspection and Testing
* NVQ Level 3
* 18th Edition
* Deep knowledge of BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations
* Strong understanding of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Proficient in electrical testing equipment and reporting software
* Strong communication skills
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
* Valid UK driving license
