We are currently recruiting foraMulti Skilled Operative to join our amazing team at our?Tarmac Exeter Asphalt Plant in Exeter, Devon. As well as Exeter, this role is easily accessible from Exmouth, Exminster, Sidmouth, Seaton, Honiton, Cullompton, Tiverton, Crediton, Taunton, Axminster, Chard, Torquay, Teignmouth, Bovey Tracey, Newton Abbot and surrounding areas.

Role Responsibility
Reporting directly tothePlant Supervisor the duties of the?Multi SkilledOperative?will include the day-to-day operations of either fixed or mobile plant. The asphalt plant operator will work with an internal team to plan the mixing program, they will ensure that stocks are maintained and replenished in good time.
Your role as a?Multi SkilledOperative?will include:
* Mixing asphalt to specification
* Working with other members of the team to ensure that customers getgood qualitymaterial and on-timedeliveries
* Weighbridge duties
* Loading shovel (mobile Plant)
* Assistingthe Supervisor with meeting daily/weekly production targets
* EnsuringPlantconforms with safety requirements at alltimes
* Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality responsibilities
* Following Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures
* Inspections on the Plant and acting on defects and implement remedialaction
* Assistingin the maintenance regime of the Plant
* Ensuring that Plant availability ismaximised
* Working to keep housekeeping around site to a highstandard
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for the role of?Multi SkilledOperativewill be able todemonstrateproven experience working within an Industrial, Factory or similar environment as an operative or labourer. As well aspossessinggood communicationskills and have a real desire in developing both operative and supervisory skills.
To succeed in this?role we would expect a candidate to evidence:
* Knowledge of Plantand ideallypossesspreviousexperience in mobile Plantoperations
* Shovel Licence desirable
* Be flexible and able to work as part of an effective Multi-Skilled Operativeteam
* Beself motivatedand able to motivate other colleagues in theteam
* Good timekeeping flexible as to the Units requirements?
* Good communicationskills bringing problems to the attention of Line Management
* Full UK Driving Licence
* IT Literate
Previousexperience asa?Multi SkilledOperative?working in an Asphalt Plant would prove highlybeneficial howeverthis is not essential as training will be given to the right candidate.
