About the Role / Role Overview
As a KS1 Teacher, you will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the developmental needs of pupils aged 5 to 7. You will promote active learning and create a safe, inclusive classroom that fosters curiosity and confidence.
Primary Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned to the Key Stage 1 national curriculum.
Differentiate instruction to accommodate a wide range of abilities and learning styles.
Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment, setting clear expectations for behaviour and effort.
Assess pupils’ progress regularly and accurately, providing constructive feedback.
Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure each pupil receives a high-quality and consistent learning experience.
Participate in staff meetings, training, and school initiatives aimed at continuous improvement.
Support pupils' personal and social development in line with school values and policies.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Proven experience of teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally with experience in planning and delivering lessons.
Thorough understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and effective assessment strategies.
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
An enthusiastic, reflective, and resilient approach to teaching.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
