The role delivers healthcare to detainees in custody suites as part of round-the-clock coverage in collaboration with the Police. You may work not only in your base Custody suite but across an assigned region in the Police Custody Suites and Force area. No previous forensic experience is required as full training will be given.
Responsibilities
* Deliver healthcare to detainees in custody suites in collaboration with the Police, providing round-the-clock coverage in accordance with an agreed schedule.
* Flexible assignment across an assigned regional Custody suite or Police Force areas as required by the client.
* Be part of a team providing care in custody settings and uphold health and wellbeing standards.
Requirements
* RN, RGN or (RMN with dual registration): 2 years post-qualification – Band 5 minimum
* Paramedic: 2 years post-qualification
* Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in a patient-facing role within a relevant field: General Practice, A&E, Emergency Medicine, acute medicine, Walk-in Centres, Substance Misuse Services, Prison Healthcare or Ambulance Service
* Driving Licence (required)
* Right to Work in the UK; British Passport or ILR for 3 years + no gaps out of the country more than 3 months
* All candidates will be subject to Police Vetting
Salary and Benefits
* Salary £41,000 per year
* £1000 bonus when completed 12 months of service
* Full-time with fixed shift pattern in a team rota: 4 shifts on and 4 days off, 06:45–19:00 for 2-day shifts, followed by 2 night shifts 18:45–07:00; rolling rota available 2 years in advance
* Average overtime £3500 per annum
* NMC/HCPC Registration paid
