Job Description:
Title: Principal Control & Instrumentation Engineer
Responsibilities:
* Design and develop functional control and instrumentation solutions for vehicle systems.
* Coordinate with stakeholders to oversee delivery and strategy.
* Support assurance activities with the Office of the Chief Engineer.
* Manage project progress using agile tools.
* Guide the engineering team, developing their skills and solutions.
* Engage with legacy systems and ensure compliance with standards.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Experience in designing large-scale C&I systems, meeting various standards.
* Knowledge of non-functional requirements and industrial compliance.
* Proficiency in technical documentation such as I/O schedules, design specifications, and interface documents.
* Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Physics, Maths, or Science.
* Understanding of control system architecture and communication protocols (e.g., RS-485, PROFIBUS).
* Experience with IEC 61508 or similar functional safety standards.
* Background with maneuvering systems across industries.
