Electrical and Electronic Engineering Degree Apprentice within Quality Planning

Location: Pyms Lane, Crewe, CW1 3PL – mainly onsite with some flexible hybrid working

As one of our Bentley apprentices, you will combine practical experience with classroom learning to achieve an Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology degree (Level 6). You will play a significant part in our business as we continue on this exciting journey to deliver extraordinary customer journeys. Based out of our state‑of‑the‑art headquarters in Crewe, you will:

About the role

Working as part of the Quality Department, you will focus on Quality Planning to support the development of new products and their seamless introduction into production. Throughout the apprenticeship, you will gain the skills and experience needed to become a specialist in electrical and electronic engineering, working closely with our global supplier network. You’ll be guided by experienced automotive engineering professionals and benefit from valuable cross‑functional collaboration, helping you build a broad understanding of our business and the wider industry.


Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to

* Collaborate with automotive suppliers worldwide to plan, develop, and ensure the quality of components used in Bentley vehicles.
* Build your expertise in the Automotive SPICE methodology to support robust and effective software development processes.
* Complete a structured training programme that will equip you to approve components for use in Bentley vehicles.


About the Department

The Quality Planning department supports the entire vehicle development process — starting from initial styling, working closely with component suppliers throughout development, and concluding with final sign‑off and the launch of new vehicles into the market.


What We Are Looking For


Training Provider Entry Requirements


Sheffield Hallam University Requirements

* GCSE (or equivalent) – The usual entry requirements are GCSE (or equivalent) mathematics and English at grade C or grade 4, or above. If you don’t have this yet, you’ll need to achieve this level before you take your end‑point assessment.
* UCAS points and college grades – 112 UCAS points including at least 64 points from two A levels or equivalent BTEC National qualifications to include mathematics or a mathematics‑based subject to at least AS level. For example:
* BBC at A Level including mathematics or a mathematics‑based subject plus at least one other from physics, physical science, engineering science, computer science, technology, or other science or technology subject.
* DMM in BTEC Extended Diploma in a science or technology‑based subject (including passes in mathematics and two other science or technology‑based modules).
* Merit overall from a T level qualification – this must include a B in Core and can be from any engineering specific T level.
* A combination of qualifications which must include mathematics or a mathematics‑based subject and may include L3 Apprenticeship, AS levels, EPQ and general studies.
* Access to HE Diploma with at least 15 Level 3 credits at merit grade or above, in a Maths or Engineering programme including mathematics.
