Assure Personnel are supporting a well-established organisation to hire for a meticulous and experienced Payroll Administrator to oversee and execute payroll operations. The successful candidate will manage payroll for both PAYE staff and CIS subcontractors, ensuring timely payments and full compliance with current UK regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the complete payroll cycle from start to finish.
2. Process weekly payroll for approximately 400 individuals and monthly payroll for 30, covering both PAYE and CIS personnel.
3. Validate subcontractor status and manage CIS deductions and HMRC submissions.
4. Collect, verify, and maintain timesheets, work hours, and site attendance data.
5. Ensure all payroll records are accurate, current, and handled with confidentiality.
6. Reconcile deductions and payments with HMRC.
7. Generate and analyse payroll reports for internal stakeholders.
8. Address payroll-related questions from staff and subcontractors.
9. Ensure all processes adhere to current UK payroll legislation.
10. Manage pension contributions, tax code changes, and statutory deductions (PAYE, NI, SMP, SSP, etc.).
