Behaviour Mentor Assistant
Chelmsford, Essex
Salary: £88-105 per day
Working hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm
Start date: As soon as possible
Long-term position with the view of going permanent for September.
Role involves supporting students with challenging behaviour and SEND, including 1-1 support and group work.
This school is looking for someone with experience working with children with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties. The role requires building strong rapport, being resilient, calm, and able to de-escalate volatile situations to ensure safety and learning.
Ideal candidates will:
* Have previous experience as a behaviour mentor or hold a relevant degree.
* Be able to improve behaviour and wellbeing of pupils.
* Support pupils inside and outside the classroom.
* Help increase pupils' confidence and self-esteem through listening and strategic planning.
