This senior role will play a key part in advising TfGM's Leadership Teams on a broad range of commercial transactions, providing key business support across the commercial deal cycle.
Your Role
This senior and critical role will play a key part in advising TfGM's Senior Leadership Teams on a broad range of commercial matters. You will provide key business support across the commercial deal cycle including creating financial models; advising on options for commercial structures and associated financial and commercial risks for each option; specify and advise on procurement requirements; review and evaluate major procurements; negotiate with suppliers to get best outcome for TfGM; and be involved in commercial and contractual disputes throughout the life of the contract.
Who are we?
Corporate Finance is part of the TfGM Commercial Services team. For most projects, you will be a member of a broad team of professionals that includes expertise in commercial, legal, finance and procurement disciplines to help the business shape its requirements and deliver excellence in our contracts. It will allow the successful applicant to influence high value and strategically important contracts. As part of the team, you will be on hand to provide financial and commercial support for critical decisions at whatever stage the commercial transaction is at.
You will have the opportunity to gain a wide experience across a number of commercial services disciplines which can be supported with on the job training and supplemented by relevant courses. Due to the diversity and dynamic nature of this role it will allow the individual to continuously learn and develop their experience in a commercial advisory role

The ideal candidate will have experience across financial modelling; commercial deal structures, including complex procurements; negotiation with external suppliers; and an ability to identify, analyse and summarise complex financial data.
Proven leadership in challenging commercial environments and strong interpersonal skills are essential. Desirable experience includes creating financial models in line with the best practice, understanding legal contract implications from a financial and commercial perspective and have some experience in the procurement process. A degree-level education and professional qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, MCIPS) are essential, along with ongoing professional development.

This is a permanent role with a salary of £70,906 - £79,805, where you will gain experience across multiple commercial disciplines supporting a number of varied projects and operational teams across TfGM.
