Were seeking a Team Leader to help deliver the service of our Commercial and Wedding Clients here at the beautiful Putteridge Bury site - someone who will lead a small dedicated team to ensure all our guests receive great service.
Putteridge Bury is currently undergoing a transformation from a University Campus to a CommercialSite and this is a veryexciting time to come on board and bring your own ideas and experiences.

Our Team Leader reports to the House Services Manager at Putteridge Bury House and works as deputy manager of a small but dedicated catering team to deliver high quality foods for our weddings and conference guests.
The Team Leader will offer ideas in regard to service and beverages and along with the all the team help develop our offer.
The Team Leader will adopt the role of Duty Manager and will be the point of contact of clients from the moment they arrive to departure ensuring that all requests are met in a timely matter.
You will ensure that we are compliant with the Food Safety Policy and maintain the best possible standards across all operational areas and will adopt responsibility for staff training. As part of the site management team, you will contribute to the peer group in developing wider policies and procedures to support effective operational outputs across the operation.
The Team Leader role will have responsibilities, and these will be defined when in post but this will include control of stock, stock holding and the control of wastage and loss.
This is a key operational position, and it will be essential that the post holder is a visible part of the team, there will be a high level of evening and weekend work expected within the role. Although the role will be based at our Putteridge Bury site there may be a requirement to work across other areas of operation within the University from time to time.
What youll bring:
Experience within a similar venue be that in a hotel, conference centre or wedding venue.
An understanding of Customer Service and delivering a service that brings back guests time and again and being a central contact on the day of the event.
You should be able to have a forward-thinking approach and to express your ideas to the wider team and be involved in the wider business plan and working with the Sales and kitchen team to enhance the offering.
