Join Our Team as a Site Supervisor!

We’re on the lookout for a Site Supervisor to join our dynamic team at West Northamptonshire Council, based in beautiful Brixworth. This is your chance to assist in delivering a variety of local authority civil engineering schemes for Kier, and help shape the transportation links that connect our communities.
Location: Brixworth, Northamptonshire – site-based, 5 days a week
Hours: Permanent Full-time, 40 hours per week – some flexibility available!
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per year + company van + excellent benefits

Your Responsibilities
As a Site Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing various projects, including:
* Footway reconstruction
* Carriageway resurfacing
* Surface treatments
* Drainage improvements
* Traffic signals and structures repairs
You'll ensure the highest safety standards are maintained across the public highway, making every day impactful!
What You’ll Do Daily
* Ensure the health and safety of yourself, the workforce, and the public in accordance with Kier SHE processes.
* Supervise construction works, inspect quality, and maintain detailed records.
* Implement and monitor compliance with Construction Phase plans and risk assessments.
* Communicate effectively with site managers regarding programme changes.
* Create an inclusive workplace where diversity of thought and experience is encouraged.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you:
* Hold SSSTS or SMSTS certification and NRSWA Supervisor qualification.
* Have a strong understanding of Construction Design Management (CDM) regulations and their practical application onsite.
* Are familiar with the Chapter 8 Traffic Signs Manual.
* Possess a solid understanding of civil engineering principles, resurfacing activities, and structures work.
* Can demonstrate a working knowledge of NEC4 contracts.
