Locations: Chorley & Winsford
Salary: £15 per hour plus £60 per sleep-in (Approx. £37,000 per year)
Rota: 2 days on / 4 days off
Contract: Full-Time (including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins)
About the Role
We are working with a well-established care provider that offers specialist residential support for children and young people who have experienced trauma, abuse, or neglect. They are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Residential Care Worker to join their teams in Chorley and Winsford.
This role plays a key part in creating a safe, supportive, and structured environment for young people, while also leading and guiding a team of care staff to deliver high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities

Support and safeguard the wellbeing of children and young people
*
Act as a positive role model and provide consistent emotional and practical support
*
Lead shifts, manage daily routines, and supervise care teams
*
Attend reviews and advocate for young people’s needs
*
Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members
*
Deputise for the Registered or Deputy Manager as needed
Requirements
*
Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent)
*
Experience in residential childcare with some team leadership responsibilities
*
Strong knowledge of safeguarding, care standards, and regulatory requirements
*
Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills
*
Full UK driving licence preferred
*
Level 4/5 qualifications or therapeutic experience is desirable
