Organisation – The Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD) is an Executive Agency of Defra and is responsible for ensuring the safety, quality, and efficacy of veterinary medicines in the UK.
Responsibilities
* Be part of the VMD’s Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Team to deliver surveillance and evidence that supports policy decisions.
* Contribute veterinary and epidemiological expertise to understand, detect, and respond to AMR risks, aligning with Defra’s UK AMR National Action Plan (NAP).
* Communicate scientific concepts effectively to diverse audiences, including non-specialists.
* Collaborate with others to deliver outcomes and work within government veterinary services and/or animal practice context in the UK.
Qualifications
A veterinary degree is required.
Memberships – Candidates should be a member or eligible to be a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
