Join our busy team as a Business Support Apprentice learning a range of tasks supporting the Environment and Transport Department.

About the Role

The duties of this exciting role include:

* Be responsible as the Duty Desk Person, managing emails, calls and supporting colleagues in the team with tasks.
* Open, sort and distribute incoming and outgoing post
* General office duties such as photocopying, word processing, data input and using a range of equipment such as plotters, scanners, laminators.
* Be efficient in using Microsoft Office packages, word, excel, outlook and search engines.
* Assist with arranging meetings and taking notes at informal meetings
* Be able to process various documents (eg. Timesheets, invoices, orders and letters ensuring accuracy.
* Resolving routine enquiries.

About You

To apply for this post, you must have:

* A good standard of education including English and Mathematics at GCSE Grade or equivalent).
* Good verbal and written communication skills. Including telephone call handling.
* Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work.
* A willingness to be flexible, learn and undertake a variety of different tasks.
* Clerical experience in a range of tasks to include word processing, filing, photocopying, taking and relaying messages, data inputting / maintaining records.
* Using Microsoft Word and Excel including using Microsoft Outlook or another e-mail / internet package.

You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion.
