Tradewind is currently recruiting an Attendance Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive secondary school in the L35 area, starting immediately. About the Role: Tradewind are recruiting on behalf of a secondary school in L35 for a full-time Attendance Assistant to support the school in monitoring and improving student attendance. Working closely with the Attendance Officer and pastoral team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring that every student is supported to achieve excellent attendance and punctuality. Key Responsibilities: Monitoring daily attendance and punctuality records using school systems (e.g. SIMS) Making first-day absence calls to parents and carers Updating attendance registers and maintaining accurate student records Producing attendance reports for senior staff and external agencies Supporting attendance meetings with parents and pastoral staff Liaising with students, parents, and external agencies to promote good attendance Assisting with wider administrative duties as required within the school office What We're Looking For: Previous experience in an administrative or attendance role (school experience desirable) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and organisational ability Confident IT user (Microsoft Office; SIMS experience an advantage) Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism A valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one) Why Work Through Tradewind?
