This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring teachers, educational psychologists, counsellors, therapists, and speech & language therapists to build essential skills within a supportive and nurturing school setting.
The Role
Full-time position, Monday to Friday, term-time only – no weekend work!
Supporting pupils with learning difficulties and additional needs in the classroom.
Helping students access learning, follow routines, and develop social skills.
Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff.
Promoting independence, confidence, and emotional regulation.
Providing consistent support as a trusted adult throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting students in lessons and delivering targeted interventions.
Assisting pupils with EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans).
Offering pastoral support to ensure students feel safe, valued, and motivated.
Planning and implementing tailored strategies for students with Autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and SEMH needs.
Liaising with teachers, SEND staff, and external professionals to monitor progress and wellbeing.
Who We’re Looking For
Psychology graduates (or related disciplines) with a strong interest in SEND.
Individuals considering careers in teaching, educational psychology, therapy, or counselling.
Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service- or willingness to apply!
Patient, empathetic, and resilient professionals with excellent relationship-building skills.
Previous SEND experience is desirable but not essential- the passion is what we look for!
