Non Domestic Energy Assessor
Fully Remote
A UK-based sustainability consultancy is seeking an experienced Energy Assessor to join its expanding technical team. In this role, you'll work across a wide range of domestic and commercial developments, delivering energy modelling, compliance assessments, and technical guidance from early design stages through to final project delivery.
Essential Criteria
Minimum 2 years' experience in building energy modelling or sustainability consultancy
Proficiency with SAP/SBEM software such as IES-VE, Elmhurst, or equivalent
Ability to undertake:
SAP and SBEM assessments
EPC production (domestic + non-domestic)
Overheating assessments (TM59/TM52)
Energy Statements for planning
Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with clients, architects, planners, and design teams
Ability to manage workloads across multiple projects and deliver accurate, compliant outputs
Desirable Criteria
Experience with BREEAM (Assessor or AP)
Familiarity with OneClick LCA, TM54, or energy auditing (ESOS)
Experience contributing to Whole Life-Cycle Carbon or Circular Economy assessments
Understanding of Decarbonisation and Net Zero reporting
Knowledge of Daylight/Sunlight or natural ventilation modelling
Interest in mentoring junior team members or supporting internal technical development
