ALN Teaching Assistant (Part-Time)

Teaching Personnel is currently collaborating with a specialist school in the Caerphilly, Hengoed area to find an Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Teaching Assistant for students aged 3 to 19.

Location: Caerphilly/Hengoed
Position: Part-time
Hours: 08:30 – 15:30 (no weekends)
Pay: £86.40 per day
Role Overview:
As an ALN Teaching Assistant, you will be required to work across the entire school, necessitating a high level of adaptability. You will support a diverse range of classes and students with various additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
· Represent the school's ethos and culture, serving as a role model for all students.
· Encourage student independence whilst providing support.
· Offer one-on-one and small group assistance to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including those with Autism, Speech and Language needs, and Challenging Behaviour.
· Create a nurturing and supportive environment to ensure all students feel valued and included.
· Work closely with the class teacher to implement personalised learning plans.
· Support students both inside and outside the classroom.
Requirements:

Enhanced DBS
Registration with the Education Workforce Council
Two previous employment references
Completion of Safeguarding Level 2 (free through Teaching Personnel)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
