Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Kent. This role involves 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with a variety of learning needs in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma‑informed manner.
Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support. We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN/SEND, SEMH, and other needs, including MLD and SLD.
At Targeted Provision our mission is to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK. You will be supported throughout every placement by our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists.
This role is perfect for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who are eager to work via 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with a variety of learning needs, in a holistic and trauma‑informed manner, to raise engagement and improve educational outcomes.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Work with young people referred by local authorities and schools, supporting their educational and social‑emotional journey
* Deliver flexible and holistic trauma‑informed tutoring and mentoring
Tutor tasks and responsibilities
* Plan each tutoring/mentoring session
* Deliver engaging sessions that meet needs and progress educational and social‑emotional development
* Complete lesson reports and provide progress feedback
Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
* Knowledge of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (assistance available at cost)
* Two professional references
* Based in the UK with right to work in the UK (including remote assignments)
It is a strict requirement that you promote the health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
Employment status
* This position involves engaging with us as a Worker for short‑term engagements
* Contract for service; paid via PAYE
* No guaranteed hours or expenses coverage
* Our insurance covers the work you do
* This is not a self‑employed tutoring/teaching position
