Job Description
Your new company
You will be joining a well-established, construction consultancy, founded in the early 1960s, with a strong reputation across Project Management, Cost Consultancy, MEP Engineering and Sustainability. The business prides itself on hands‑on Director involvement on every project, creating clear accountability, strong client relationships and consistently high standards. This approach has resulted in an exceptionally high repeat business rate of around 85%. The consultancy operates within a wider group following a recent strategic partnership, expanding its service offering to include Project Monitoring and Building Surveying, and supporting continued, sustainable growth. One of the biggest differentiators is the working culture: the business operates a genuinely flexible, trust‑based model, with engineers primarily working from home and attending the office only once every 4‑6 weeks on average.

As an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer, you will support the delivery of electrical building services designs across a varied project portfolio. You will work closely with Senior Engineers and Directors, contributing to schemes from early concept through to detailed design and construction, gaining exposure to the full project lifecycle. Projects include large‑scale leisure and destination developments, alongside commercial, mixed‑use and public‑sector work, offering technically engaging and often repeat‑client schemes rather than one‑off projects. This role suits an engineer ready to take ownership of their work while continuing to develop technically within a supportive, low‑bureaucracy consultancy environment.

* Salary up to circa £55,000, depending on experience
* Predominantly remote working – office attendance typically once every 4‑6 weeks
* A flexible, trust‑based working culture focused on output, not presenteeism
* Direct access to Directors and senior decision‑makers
* Exposure to high‑quality, technically interesting, repeat‑client projects
* Long‑term stability within a respected and growing consultancy
