POSITION SUMMARY:
Join our Aftermarket team in Skelmersdale as a Warehouse Operative, where you’ll be responsible for receiving, picking, packing, and dispatching goods, as well as handling warranty returns and service exchanges. You’ll bring great attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a can-do approach to problem-solving, thriving in a busy environment. Awareness of Health & Safety, ability to lift heavy objects, and experience in a similar role are desirable. MHE licenses and WMS knowledge would be a bonus, but training can be provided. WHAT YOU WILL DO:
1. This is a fully functional warehouse operative role, covering all warehouse duties including Receiving, picking, packing, and dispatching of goods, warranty returns and service exchange.
2. You will be responsible for accurately picking, packing, and dispatching parts to meet our internal and external customer requirements and wider business needs.
3. Operate specialty equipment such as fork-lift trucks, Scissor Lifts, reach trucks etc.
4. Ensure that the right parts are picked and packed to the agreed performance levels.
5. Responsible for taking the delivery of goods and supplies.
6. Safely store, pick, and dispatch stock using manual or mechanical manoeuvre, including moving stock around by hand or with MHE.
7. Keep paperwork up-to-date and maintain accurate records of stock, highlighting any discrepancies that may have occurred.
8. Participate in maintaining an agreed housekeeping standard with the use of the 5S principle.
9. Comply with all Health and Safety legislation.
10. Continually strive to spot opportunities for process improvement to ensure the highest level of efficiency.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
12. An awareness of Health & Safety Legislation and individual/company requirements.

19. Experience of working as a Warehouse Operative within a similar environment.
20. Things can be hectic here. You will thrive on being busy and be an expert multi-tasker.
21. Generally, someone who’s approachable with a strong work ethic and a desire to succeed.
22. Strive for continuous improvement – always looking for ways to do things better.
23. NVQ or equivalent in Warehouse or Operations would be desirable but not essential.
24. Full UK Drivers Licence, FLT, HLOP and Scissor lift Licences are desirable but not essential. If no MHE licenses. You will have a desire to obtain them within six months.
25. A knowledge of using a WMS, handheld scanners and Microsoft 365.
