Job Overview The role is a key appointment within the finance team where you will be contributing to Southern Water’s longer-term finance strategy. You will play a key part in ensuring the underlying finance system (currently SAP) is utilised effectively, maintains integrity and that best practice processes and controls are in place and observed. You will be responsible for ensuring the segregation of duties are maintained and users have the appropriate access, whilst ensuring leavers are correctly removed. You will ensure all areas of responsibility are fully documented and kept up to date as and when processes change. You role will involve: Master Data Maintenance Maintaining the chart of accounts Totex master data Liaising with other teams within finance to maintain all finance systems integrity. Estimated Time of Role 25% GR-IR and Commitment Report Monitoring Ensuring the legacy amounts reduce by following up with FBP's, PM's and PO Requisitioners. Estimated Time of Role 25% SAP User Access Administration Ensuring we maintain SOD, issuing correct roles to Finance in accordance with SAP Security Team. Removing SAP access when either an employee leaves SW or no longer requires SAP. Design and embed an IT controls framework over key financial reporting systems linked to material financial accounts and processes ·Estimated Time of Role 15% SAP Optimisation and Projects Supporting developments being made on various projects. Estimated Time of Role 20% Month end support Answering queries raised during month end, primarily settlement issues. Estimated Time of Role 10% Journal Dashboard Monthly production of the journal dashboard to enable future streamlining of journals. Estimated Time of Role 5% About You To be right for this role, you will have worked as a Systems Accountant and ideally have knowledge of SAP. You will be: - Significantly experienced in managing SAP FI-CO (other financial systems would be desirable) - A qualified accountant or qualified by experience - Able to work with IT and Finance stakeholders, providing a bridge between the demands of Finance and the capabilities of the system and its wider environment - Driven to continuously improve finance systems and processes - Highly organised, with the ability to work under pressure Package This role will be full time Monday to Friday with a hybrid approach to working between our Durrington (Worthing) office and home (usual office days are Monday & Tuesday).
