We are looking for a caring, proactive and patient SEN Teaching Assistant to join this specialist school on a full-time, long-term basis.
About the Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key part in supporting pupils across the school day, both within the classroom and through 1:1 support. Students have a range of needs including ASC, ADHD, SEMH and PMLD, and some pupils require personal care.
You will work closely with experienced teachers and a supportive staff team to help create a positive, inclusive learning environment for children from EYFS up to KS5.
Key Responsibilities
Support students with SEN throughout their school day
Provide 1:1 and small-group support
Assist pupils with ASC, ADHD, SEMH and PMLD needs
Collaborate with teachers and support staff to deliver tailored learning
Support students with mobility difficulties and personal care needs
Help maintain a safe, nurturing and engaging learning environment
Requirements
Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or degree-level education
Experience working in education or childcare
Previous SEN/ASC experience (desirable but not essential)
Calm, compassionate and proactive approach
Strong communication skills
Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
