Purpose
To support and accompany the employee on activities and transportation.
Responsibilities
* Picking up the employee and traveling by bus or train to visit places or activities they enjoy.
* Planning activities with the employee.
* Providing life skills such as supporting or prompting the employee to go shopping.
Compensation and Benefits
Wages will be paid on a 4‑weekly basis after a valid National Insurance number has been provided. The employee must be eligible to work in the UK. Annual leave entitlement will be provided in accordance with statutory entitlements, details of which will be set out in the contract of employment. The employee will be issued a Personal Assistants Handbook when employment commences.
Qualifications
* Reliability and punctuality.
* Good sense of humour and patience.
* Experience working with adults on the spectrum is desirable but not essential.
* Must be a driver (own car not required as the employer provides a mobility vehicle).
* Preferably a female personal assistant (subject to equal‑opportunity principles).
* Calm and understanding of autism.
