Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (100% remote with travel)
Base to £115,000, bonus and benefits
Highly acquisitive PE backed US client of mine with over $500 million is looking for their first Head of FP&A to lead and drive all budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities across the EMEA region. Working directly with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this position will play a pivotal role in providing strategic insights, financial guidance, and leadership across the business to achieve continuous growth and operational success. Responsibilities include.
1. Lead the FP&A function, delivering high-quality financial insights that enable proactive decision-making for the EMEA region.
2. Collaborate closely with the CFO, senior leadership team, and private equity stakeholders to align financial strategies with overall business goals.
3. Manage the annual budgeting process and interim forecasts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
4. Develop and maintain robust financial models to support short-term and long-term planning.
5. Monitor regional financial performance, analyse key drivers, and provide clear recommendations for operational and strategic improvements.
6. Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring data integrity and transparency for stakeholders.
7. Act as a trusted advisor to operational teams across EMEA, driving cross-functional collaboration and alignment to financial targets.
8. Support initiatives that optimise revenue generation, cost efficiency, and overall financial performance within the region.
9. Build and lead a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
10. Work closely with private equity partners to meet reporting requirements, facilitate due diligence processes, and contribute to value creation objectives.
11. Act as a key liaison for financial planning in the context of PE priorities, including strategy execution, cash flow optimisation, and EBITDA growth.
To be considered for this high-profile role you should have a proven record of leading FP&A teams in a private equity-backed, mid-sized business environment (£250mm-£1bn revenue preferred). Deep understanding of EMEA markets, financial regulations, and commercial dynamics within the region. Advanced proficiency in financial modelling, Excel, and FP&A software tools. Experience with systems like SAP, Adaptive Insights, or similar is highly advantageous.
