Responsibilities
* Deliver healthcare in collaboration with the Police in custody suites, serving detainees and ensuring safety and wellbeing.
* Provide round-the-clock coverage in custody suites in line with a schedule agreed with our client, with flexibility to work across an assigned region.
* Follow training to develop clinical, forensic, and broader skills within the criminal justice setting.
Requirements / Qualifications
* RN, RGN or (RMN with dual registration): 2 years post qualification – Band 5 minimum
* Paramedic: 2 years post qualification
* Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in a patient-facing role within a relevant field (General Practice, A&E, Emergency Medicine, acute medicine, Walk-in Centres, Substance Misuse Services, Prison Healthcare or Ambulance Service)
* Driving Licence (required)
* Must have right to work in the UK, lived in UK with British Passport or ILR for 3 years + no gaps out of the country more than 3 months
* Police Vetting required
Location and Logistics
No previous forensic experience is required as full training will be provided. The role can involve work in base custody suites and across a regional Police Custody Suites and Force area.
Compensation and Benefits
* Salary £41,000 per year
* £1,000 bonus after completing 12 months of service
* Full-time fixed shift pattern: 4 shifts on, 4 days off (06:45–19:00 for 2-day shifts) followed by 2-night shifts (18:45–07:00). Rolling rota available 2 years in advance.
* Average overtime estimated at £3,500 per annum
* NMC/HCPC Registration paid
