Why This Role Matters
Were looking for someone whos hands-on, execution-focused, and excited to build. This is not just a policy-writing, PowerPoint-making role. We need someone who can roll up their sleeves and take full ownership of our internal IT setup and security posture—while also supporting a secure, cloud-first platform for our clients.
Youll be the go-to person for everything IT and InfoSec, from laptop imaging and VPN issues to AWS IAM policies and SOC2 audit prep. Youll be empowered to make fast, informed decisions that directly improve how our team works and how our customers stay secure.
What You Will Do
* Run Internal IT: Own and operate our internal IT stack—device lifecycle management, SSO, Intune, networking, onboarding/offboarding, vendor tools, etc. Everything from config to compliance.
* Own InfoSec: Be accountable for our cybersecurity posture. Define controls, drive implementation, and respond to incidents. Youll guide us to SOC2 compliance and beyond.
* Support the Business: Be the hands-on enabler of cross-functional productivity - ensuring engineers, product managers, and business teams can work securely and efficiently.
* Build + Scale: Expand our IT and InfoSec capabilities as the company grows, whether through tools, process, or hiring.
* Contribute to Product Readiness: Work closely with Engineering to ensure our customer-facing platform meets the highest security and operational standards.
* Innovate: Identify opportunities for leveraging emerging technologies, such as AI and automation, to drive operational efficiency and competitive advantage
* Be the First Call: When something breaks, youre on it. Whether its an AWS permissions issue or a phishing simulation, youll be the first to know - and act.
Requirements
What You Need to Bring
* Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. A masters degree is preferred
* Proven experience across both IT operations and cybersecurity, ideally in fast-paced, cloud-native environments.
* Hands-on expertise in AWS/Azure, IAM, Intune/Autopilot, device security, and endpoint protection.
* Extensive experience with zscaler
* SOC2 experience—preparation, execution, audit remediation, and vendor coordination.
* Comfort with modern security tools: SSO, MDM, EDR, SIEM, password managers, VPN, etc.
* Ability to prioritize, execute, and deliver without handholding.
* Willingness to go from drafting policies to implementing scripts - whatever it takes.
* Experience managing vendors, contracts, and external support teams.
* Strong communication - clear, concise, and calm under pressure.
* Flexibility and cultural awareness to support teams across regions and time zones.
Bonus Points
* Experience in capital markets, trading, or fintech
* Familiarity with Kubernetes, Infrastructure-as-Code, and CI/CD pipelines
* Interest in mentoring others and building out a small IT/Security team over time
