We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive Primary School in the Orpington area, seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils on a day-to-day supply basis.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and be confident supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or within small groups, depending on the school’s daily requirements.
Key requirements:
1. Experience of supporting children with autism and speech and language needs including delivering speech therapy
2. Be fully committed to the role of working with a child with additional needs on a 1:1 basis and delivering support as outlined in individual support plans.
3. Have the skills to support and differentiate the learning, social interaction and welfare of individual pupils with a range of needs.
4. Support the class teacher to provide the best opportunities and outcomes for the child.
5. Keep records and observations of selected children to enable staff to plan appropriate next steps
6. Be motivated, flexible and understanding
