At Leonardo, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Support Engineer/Support Engineer to join our team within the Customer Support and Service Solutions (CS3) line of business. The CS3 line operates across the UK, providing innovative support solutions to our customers to ensure the availability of front-line capability whenever required.
This role is based at RAF Coningsby within the Components Maintenance Facility (CMF), working alongside BAE Systems teams. We seek someone who thrives in a high-paced, pressurized environment, capable of working with minimal supervision in a challenging technical domain to support the UK’s fleet.
What you will do as a Senior Support Engineer:
1. Perform standard serviceability testing, fault finding, and repairs on RADAR, Defensive Aids Sub-System (DASS), and avionics equipment. Conduct routine calibration and general maintenance on Automatic Test Equipment. Complete other tasks within the CMF as directed by management.
2. Liaise daily with the CMF Manager, Bay Lead, and Logistics team, collaborating with BAE Systems teams to understand repair priorities.
3. Manage the UK spares supply system and consumables, promptly reporting any deficiencies to the relevant teams.
4. Comply with all contractual, governance, SHE, training, and good engineering practices.
5. Identify and report risks and opportunities related to business operations and support activities.
6. Assist in drafting and ensuring compliance of Maintenance Approved Organisation Scheme (MAOS) documentation.
7. Follow documented work methods as defined by the Leonardo Joint Avionics Service (JAS) Contract and CMF management, using approved procedures and technical data within a MAA Pt145 approved setting.

Preferred qualifications include:
* Experience with Technical Diagnostic Test Equipment and MS Software Packages.
* Previous experience working within an avionics maintenance facility and/or on Typhoon aircraft RADAR and DASS systems.
* ONC in electrical, digital electronics, avionics, or equivalent/relevant experience.
