Mott MacDonald Bentley are recruiting for a Project Controls Manager to join the Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA). The 330km SPA Project by Anglian Water is under construction and will be completed during AMP8, with an additional 260km of water transfer pipelines and associated infrastructure to be delivered in AMP8.
What will you be doing as our new Project Controls Manager
 * Provide consultation and support services related to project management such as cost estimating, scheduling, best‑practice solutions, procurement, benchmarking, and overseeing and reporting on the health of the project.
 * Lead a Project Controls team comprising both Client and Delivery partner employees, and oversee the update/implementation of the Project Execution Plan and related processes and procedures.
Key responsibilities
 * Manage review and contribute to the acceptance of the Contract Programme, ensuring on‑time completion of work activities and implementation of project control procedures.
 * Provide project reviews and reports for inclusion in the monthly reporting cycle to the Delivery Partner and Client Boards.
 * Advise and consult on effective planning techniques and controls; provide earned‑value, cost and schedule variance reports, estimates, completion status, critical‑path analysis and safety performance.
 * Collaborate closely with Delivery Partner Project and Commercial Managers and their staff across the project.
 * Develop, own and continuously improve Project Control processes.
 * Taken ownership and champion risk management across the project.
 * Drive a culture of continuous improvement in Health & Safety (H&S), ensuring consistent H&S standards are maintained.
A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviours
 * Proven experience in water environment.
 * Experience of major infrastructure projects/programmes.
 * Experience leading a project controls team.
 * Computer literate with significant project reporting experience, including Power‑BI.
 * Excellent communication and reporting skills within a stakeholder environment.
 * Experience of managing a team, ensuring workload capacity aligns with tight deadlines.
