Job Title: Associate Skilled Operator
Location: Samlesbury/Warton – Onsite – Shift Work
Salary: £35,021
Note: The roles may involve working a shift pattern which could include rotational days, nights and/or weekends. Flexibility is essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
* Associate-skilled activities relating to one of the following areas:
o Composite structures – Ply-Cutting, Lay Up, Curing, De-Bagging, Rout Profiling and Repair
o Safe delivery of materials required by the point of use – safe manual handling techniques (including Forklift Truck and slinging operations), consolidation of kits for distribution, and delivery/removal of goods or waste items
o Physical transfer and storage of assets; control and protection of inventory including Goods Receiving, Storage, Kitting, Packing, Despatch and regular stock checks
o Non-skilled elements in the manufacture of complex fabricated details, SPFDB assemblies, Pipes and associated bench assemblies
o Non-skilled elements of preparation and protective spraying of complex components major assemblies and aircraft
All of the above will involve repetitive manufacturing tasks in line with technical information such as engineering drawings, process instructions and specifications.
You will also be expected to perform duties within the areas of responsibility in accordance with current Health and Safety and Environmental Protection legislation, and in compliance with the Quality Management System.
Essential
* Previous experience relating to the roles being advertised
* Manual dexterity skills and proficiency in the use of hand tools
* Understanding of Tool Control, Tool calibration and Foreign Object Debris (F.O.D.) procedures
Desirable
* Manufacturing build line experience in a neighbouring industry (e.g. Automotive, Maritime, etc.)
* Warehousing, distribution or logistics experience would be advantageous
