Position Summary: Perth County Paramedic Services (PCPS) is seeking Paramedics interested in working as members of the PCPS Mobile Integrated Health Team. Reporting to the Commander of Mobile Integrated Health, Community Paramedics provide health care services to the citizens of Perth County, bridging gaps in health care provision for isolated and vulnerable populations while working with system partners to execute care plans and support individuals in their homes. This fast-paced and evolving role includes, but is not limited to, providing immunizations, in-home assessments, medical support, and coordinated care and referrals. Working in collaboration with other healthcare partners, the team supports hospital discharges, complex clients waiting long-term care placement, palliative patients, and individuals requiring in-home follow-up for medical education, safety concerns, ongoing monitoring, and medication compliance. This position will primarily support the day-to-day work of the Mobile Integrated Health team.
Qualifications:
* The ideal candidate must be certified in Ontario as a Primary Care Paramedic, a Canadian Paramedic obtaining the Paramedic Labour Mobility Equivalency Exam
* You must meet all employment and qualification criteria as contained in Ontario Regulation 257/00 – Part III.
* You are able to perform the functional requirements of the job including performance in high-stress and inherently unpredictable situations. You will also be able to perform, bending, crouching, lifting, and walking on uneven ground on a regular basis.
* Personal Transportation is required as well as proof of a valid Class F driver’s license.
* Minimum 2 years of experience as a Primary Care Paramedic
Shift: Ability to work all shift rotations at all stations within Perth County, including weekends and statutory holidays. Platoon and locations are variable and subject to change.
Salary Range: $41.74/hour
Restriction: There is a minimum commitment of 12 months prior to having the ability to move out of the MIH Team.
