Deputy Facilities Manager
* Annual Salary: £26,400 plus exceptional benefits
* Location: York (and Newcastle, as required)
* Job Type: Full-time, 2-year fixed term contract
* Working hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
Very exciting role to join our client who are looking for a Deputy Facilities Manager in their York office. You will be instrumental in ensuring their facilities are managed efficiently, providing a safe, compliant, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Manage daily facilities operations including tenant liaison, meeting room management, cleaning, security, repairs, and maintenance.
* Ensure compliance with statutory and non-statutory requirements to maintain clean, safe, and secure offices.
* Handle minor maintenance issues and coordinate with contractors, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
* Manage the Site CAFM system, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date.
* Conduct building inductions and manage office space efficiently.
* Occasionally act as a deputy to the Facilities Manager in Newcastle when required, ensuring continuity of service. (Travel paid for)
Ideal/Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in facilities management is highly desirable, particularly in a customer-facing role.
* Knowledge of building services and public sector procurement principles.
* Strong organisational and communication skills, capable of managing multiple stakeholders.
* IT proficiency, particularly in MS Office and CAFM systems.
